the surprises of film

My poor digital camera doesn’t get much love lately because I just can’t get enough of the surprises that film brings.

Things are busy, busy, busy here.

I’m hoping for some nice, slow days soon….and more time for film.

summer’s return

According to the weather reports, the summer is returning to us this weekend here in Zürich. I am already dreaming up ways to enjoy two warm, sunny days.

A picnic will most certainly be had and a swim in the river.

zürich tram depot: 3 ways

This tram depot is probably one of my favorite buildings in all of Zürich. There’s just something about its surfaces – rough, reflective, steely and stained – that make it a perfect place for the sunlight to play.

that summer feeling

Just got a roll of film back from processing. This roll was taken during July with my Min-Min.

These two shots were taken at Badi Heuried, my local swimming hole. Together – I think that they make a nice summer feeling.

PS! You should have seen the owners of those two chairs! They were just as funny as you can imagine….!

fritschi flohmi: colors abound

The Fritschi Flohmi is a place where dresses dance in the summer breeze, colorful splashes of bric-a-brac are spread out on blankets, the scent of sausages and charcoal swirl in the air, shadows are cast long, and children giggle as they splash in the wading pool.

bromberren und böse wolken

Two more from the Lomo Fisheye roll of film. The summer in Zürich always includes some blackberries and some gloomy clouds – much to my liking!

lomo fisheye: summer 2010

Summer = Lomo Love

I hope that you are all enjoying some carefree, lazy summer days.

lomo fisheye: archives: summer 2009

It seems that this hobby photographer has been on holiday from her camera as of late…

Therefore, I’m reaching into my archives. These three were taken with my Lomo Fisheye.

time to find some water

On these hot Summer days, I find myself on the search for watery places to go.

kreis 3 on film

Bits and pieces of my neighborhood, Kreis 3 Zürich, on film.

It’s been hot, hot, hot in Zürich and I am waiting for it to cool down so that I take my camera out for a walk. But for now  it’s just take it easy, take it slow. Laze about. It’s not all that bad if you ask me.
