jar project: take 2 February 29

 fallen = fall

 fallen = fall
Inside this jar – there are 24 words. Half of them are English and half of them are German. I wrote half of them and the other half were written by my friend from Zurich, Switzerland (who is here in Portland for a visit).
During the next couple of weeks, my friend and I will be pulling a word from the jar and taking photos inspired by the word.
We’ll be posting the results here. I’m very excited to get going.
The first word is: inside
I hope that you’ll join us in being surprised by what happens…

I’ve been tagged by Maria of Faces in the Clouds to show you my workspace. So here it is. It’s a tiny little room – the size of a closet. But it’s so wonderful to be creative there.
Here’s an artist to be amazed by, Maya Hayuk found via Happy Cavalier

This graffiti is 100% nature-made. The vines seemed to have taken the paint with them when they got removed. This is what happens when vines make art. Lovely I think. Just lovely.
I do love vines. The way they grow little “feet” and climb up things.
Also love the song Cigarettes & Red Vines… which I couldn’t find for you.
Found this one instead, Wise Up by Aimee Mann
…I think that I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to “wise up” in one way or another.

This is what happens at the weekend ’round here.
Fight!!!!
But then there is always some love afterwards….
Today’s special! An interview with the amazingly talented artist Camilla Taylor.
Read it here!
More about Camilla can be found at her website Horse Flesh Productions
Followings, Maria’s request to “do something in green”. I went ahead and made this little addition to my Cross Pollination series.
Happy Weekend to all of you!
There will be some surprises here next week!
Hint: Two special guests. One of them from from Arizona and one of them from Zurich. One will be a virtual guest and one will be live. Both are talented and amazing.
More to come…
A find from a three-year-old sketchbook. A self-portrait of sorts…and a time capsule.
Here’s a round up of a few of my favorite sightings from the blog neighborhood this week:
Hugo by Forest Eyes
Morning Tea & Draw by Fruenswerk2
Loosen Up by Diana Koehne

When the dusk light hits certain branches of trees, I like to think that the trees are blushing. At least that’s how I imagine it anyway.
This evening, there were many more than just three blushing trees. But these three I thought deserved to be shared with you.
This song & video somehow remind me of spring.
In case you haven’t seen this movie yet (also Miranda July) go and rent it right away! (please)
Don’t miss the most excellent interview with Lisa Congdon at sfgirlbybay.
