When Alexandra was in the middle of moving to London, she happened to mention that she regretted printing her lovely Valkyrie figures on heavy tiles instead of paper. When moving by airplane, every last kilo counts.
So I jumped on the opportunity to buy (what was supposed to be) one tile from her. And here is when being indecisive has its advantages…
I simply couldn’t decide which tile I wanted more, the blue one or the red and grey one. So I got both.
I’m so glad I did! Thank you Alexandra! I love my lovely Valkyrie ladies!Â

Is today already Wednesday? How did that happen?
I think that this self portrait says a lot about how I’ve been feeling lately…
If you, too, are in need of some humor, have a look at David Shrigley’s site.
I especially like his help desk!

The wish is that a certain someone will take me to one of my favorite Zürich restaurants.
The cup of coffee was to prepare me for the second round of interviews. Many thanks for all of your lovely comments last time, they really worked!!!

These are two pages from my sketchbook. I’ve been drawing while sitting in front of the television. I’ve been watching loads of TV to brush up on my German skills. Which is good for my German but maybe not too good for my creativity. My creativity doesn’t seem to respond too well to trading in my art studio for the television room…
I’m still on the look out for a little studio space here in Zürich. Unfortunately the last one didn’t work out. Too bad. It was such a sweet little space.
But hopefully something else will come up.
In the meantime…
Hello pens and paper and hello TV!

A few weeks ago, my little blog was happy to have reached 300 posts!
Go, go little blog, go!
Many thanks to all of you out there who stop by for a look and a read and maybe even a link.
It has been such a pleasure to meet you! I look forward to at least 300 more posts in the future.

Sunday afternoon, I escaped to Uto Kino for a movie. When I’m in a movie theater, it often feels like my life has been put on “pause” and sometimes that’s exactly the right feeling to have.
The movie: A Thousand Years of Good Prayers
Food was a main feature in the movie. At times it even made me hungry to watch them eat.
A fabulous food blog that is new to me: Smitten Kitchen
