if i were a knight… October 30

If I were a knight, I’d climb to the heights of a look-out-tower and keep watch over your home from the setting of the sun to the setting of the moon.

Lately, I’ve been spending a bit of time trying to think of ways to spend less time sitting in a chair.
One way, is to get up and go out and photograph them.
Grizzly Bear also seems to enjoy making music in a room where there aren’t any chairs.Â

It’s rainy today. Went out looking for nice shapes. They were surprisingly easy to find.
In case you are needing new imagery for your dreams, have a look here at the Porter Polaroid Project.
In case you already have wonderful dream material, please share it in the comments section and I promise to light a candle for your dream.

An escape by train to Bern and then an escape by bus to Studen and then an escape by train to Biel and then an escape by Seilbahn and on foot to Twann and finally one last escape by train back to Zürich!
A very nice weekend of escapes, indeed. I hope that you, too, found one way or another to escape this past weekend.

Sometimes, all a girl needs is a little bit of neon to make her happy.

If I were a wolf, I’d travel hours and hours by moonlight to meet you in the chamber beneath the gardener’s house.Â

Just before going out for Friday night drinks to celebrate a friend’s very belated birthday, I ran around the city on the hunt for paths.
These photos are two ends of the same path. It was a nice surprise how one end turned out rather cold and and other end rather warm.
I was inspired by the path photos found here and here.
Wishing you all a very sweet weekend!

When it rains, I suddenly start to pay more attention to my accessories. Logical isn’t it?
Today: Necklace by Dada’s Diamonds and stripey socks.
Good rainy day music: Portishead, Third

Sometimes it’s the little details that catch my eye – like the lace curtains or a chestnut placed atop a cork (by my man late at night and found by me in the morning).
Lovely little details in these works by Lizzie Finn.
Wish me luck, I may have found a new studio space today. I miss my painting…

Life is pretty sweet when it’s just me and my camera on a warm autumn evening.
