the smaller, finer things September 29

During my wanderings in Cully, Simplon and Locarno I found my eye resting on some of the smaller finer details around me.
It was nice to have so much time to just look around.

Dear, sweet disrepair. You sing the praises of time gone by and make me dream of yesteryear.
I’ll travel miles and miles to find you. You’re often what I’m after.
These images of disrepair were found in Cully and Locarno.

I’m saying goodbye to everyday life and running away for a few days….see you all again next week!
Have fun and be good!

Yesterday I went out with my camera and couldn’t really see any connection to the things that were drawing my attention.
Which is slightly unusual, since often I go out with my camera and find myself being pulled by a certain theme – a collection that makes sense.
So this collection shall just be called bridge mix.

Shooting photos of the city with my Lomo. What’s most fun, is to shoot without looking through the lens – or to shoot from the hip.
The Lomography 10 Golden Rules are brilliant! I especially love #4, which is the rule that produced most of the cityscapes posted here.

The streets of Zürich can often be a bit dull, overly clean and well…boring.
But not this little corner of town! Imagine my joy when I ran into this street art?

Just got a roll back. These ghosts of summer past were taken with my Lomo Fisheye. Now my heart is aching a bit for a swim in my beloved river…

I was tagged by the wildly wonderful photographer who always captures color, color and more color, epa epe ,to tell you 10 true things about myself. So here you go! 10 very true things. Not really exciting but true.
If anyone else wants to play along, consider yourself tagged.

Dear, sweet blog readers,
Please excuse my recent absence here. I’ve been enjoying the way that Summer is leaving us with a superb last hurrah!
Summer you’re making a most delicious last performance!
Cheers!

Months ago, Famapa left a comment on this post and said that, “the vitomatic is a little box of magic!”
Little did she know how right she was! The last roll I took, every second photo was not exposed at all!
BLACK MAGIC, I’m telling you!
These three photos were some of the *every other ones* that worked. They are from the area around my office.
Let’s hope that my poor old Vitomatic makes a recovery and learns to take photos again like a proper gentleman.
