patron saint of faded beauty

Growing up Catholic, I learned a lot about the saints. Sometimes I like to dream up my own saints – like this one.

It seems like we need a Patron Saint of Faded Beauty? Don’t we?

sincere tomfoolery

fancy_free

Who doesn’t need a little bit more sincere tomfoolery in their lives?

A new little illustration I finished about a month a go or so. I admit that I’m a bit behind on showing you what I’ve been up to over at Erika.

What I can say is that the gouache paint has been finding its way to the brushes and I’ve been having a good time forgetting my surroundings and diving into colors and shapes.

Wishing you all a good week and a little bit of sincere tomfoolery.

Today’s post is dedicated to Abby of abby try again. Her love for analogue photography has been one of my biggest motivations for my latest adventures in film.

Many thanks Abby for being an inspiration to me!

Dear readers, Abby is offering free shipping this weekend. Hurry up and have a look!

quiet trees and quiet me

I’ve been feeling a little bit quiet lately. I suppose it could be the cold. That is the weather and the one that has been forcing me to drink liters and liters of tea for the past week.

I’m hoping for a quiet weekend with some good food and maybe some good music – so that I don’t have to talk, I can just quietly listen.

My Nikon camera got a new toy, a Lensbaby Composer.

I’m officially calling this new toy a pair of beer goggles made for a camera : )

A few shots taken back in early December when I was in Val Müstair. The wintery whites dazzled my eyes.

I’m wishing for a little bit of snow here in Zürich during the next few days. It makes the city get so quiet when it’s covered up in that cold white blanket.

These are three of the most extraordinary (in my opinion) shop fronts in Zürich.  Fascinating, aren’t they?

And best of all, they are all just a few blocks apart. What a treasure trove those blocks are!

Dear readers, I’m wishing you a treasure trove of goodness in 2010!
